David Wagstaff {665}
According to the Canadian National Biography Encyclopedia, David was a pioneer in the Toronto brick manufacturing business.
Daniel and his brothers, William & Robert, controlled a brickmaking business started by their Father, Robert Wagstaff.
David had been ill for two years prior to his death. David married Matilda Sear {666} [MRIN: 218], daughter of Charles Sear {1438} and Sarah Bromwich {1474}, on December 27, 1864 in Trinity Church, York Township. (Matilda Sear {666} was born on June 16, 1848 in Greenwich, Kent, England and died on August 8, 1917 in 650 Broadview Avenue, Toronto, Ontario.) The cause of her death was Gall Stones. David next married Annie Louisa Cruttenden {1439} [MRIN: 493], daughter of Thomas William David Cruttenden {1487} and Emily Salisbury {1488}, on September 4, 1920 in Saint Barnabus Church, Danforth Avenue, Toronto, Ontario. (Annie Louisa Cruttenden {1439} was born on November 11, 1874 in County of York, Toronto, Ontario, died on July 21, 1955 in Toronto, Ontario and was buried in Saint James Crematorium, Toronto, Ontario.) |
