On January 20, 1948 George was cremated. His funeral service and viewing was held at 717 Queen Street East at the Washington and Johnston Chapel in Toronto.
It is assumed that his second wife, Lillian Gardiner, had his ashes.
It is unknown as of yet what happened to George's first wife Ethel and his only child John after about 1919. It is also unknown what became of George's second wife Lillian after his death.
George married Ethel Louisa London {759} [MRIN: 254], daughter of James Nathaniel London {1404} and Sarah Ann Pool {1403}, on June 8, 1910 in York, Ontario, Canada. The relationship ended in divorce 1921 ?. (Ethel Louisa London {759} was born on September 29, 1884 in Toronto, Ontario.)
Marriage Notes:
George and Ethel's wedding date was contained in May Duckworth's date book.
It is unknown as of yet what happened with the marriage of George and Ethel. Ethel may have left George and a divorce ensued, or she may have died. All that is known is that George did re-marry later in life.
Their son John seems to have left the scene around the same time Ethel did, leading most to believe that Ethel left George and took their son with her.
George next married Lillian F. Gardiner {845} [MRIN: 286].
