This booklet contains detailed documentation of Richardson family events, wills, land holdings, farms/homes they owned, as well as personal documentation on the many Richardsons from 1700 - about 1920.

  Research Information:

John owned and operated a farm and house in Hartwell known as "The Folly", located on Folly Lane in Hartwell. At the time of his ownership he possessed over 115 acres of land, a considerable piece of agriculture at the time.

At his death he left over 650 pounds to various relatives, mostly to his oldest son, John Cole Richardson.

Lewis Tapp, the great x 5 grandson of John Richardson still lives at the Folly to this day.

John married Elizabeth Hodgkin, daughter of John Hodgkin and Mary Hodgkin, on 3 Sep 1770 in Hartwell, Pottersbury, Northamptonshire, Britain. (Elizabeth Hodgkin was born on 29 Mar 1752 in Ashton, Northamptonshire, Britain and died on 9 May 1786 in Hartwell, Pottersbury, Northamptonshire, Britain.) The cause of her death was Complications from Childbirth.

John next married Martha Smith about 1795 in Hartwell, Pottersbury, Northamptonshire, Britain.
