This booklet contains detailed documentation of Richardson family events, wills, land holdings, farms/homes they owned, as well as personal documentation on the many Richardsons from 1700 - about 1920.

  Research Notes:

John owned and operated a farm and house in Hartwell known as "The Folly", located on Folly Lane in Hartwell. At the time of his ownership he possessed over 115 acres of land, a considerable piece of agriculture at the time.

At his death he left over 650 pounds to various relatives, mostly to his oldest son, John Cole Richardson.

Lewis Tapp, the great x 5 grandson of John Richardson still lives at the Folly to this day.

John married Elizabeth Hodgkin {694} [MRIN: 230], daughter of John Hodgkin {211} and Mary Hodgkin {1357}, on September 3, 1770 in Hartwell, Pottersbury, Northamptonshire, Britain. (Elizabeth Hodgkin {694} was born on March 29, 1752 in Ashton, Northamptonshire, Britain and died on May 9, 1786 in Hartwell, Pottersbury, Northamptonshire, Britain.) The cause of her death was Complications from Childbirth.

John next married Martha Smith {1267} [MRIN: 415] about 1795 in Hartwell, Pottersbury, Northamptonshire, Britain.
