Caroline Julia Meeker (nee Quentin);

Julia passed away peacefully, with her children at her side, at Toronto General Hospital on Thursday, February 4, 2010. She had been in and out of hospital over the past few months and finally slipped away after yet another strong fight. Julia was pre-deceased by her loving husband William Henry and her dear son David. She will be deeply missed by her daughter Carol Anne Wright, son and daughter-in-law Bill and Jenn Meeker, and Julia's three grandchildren, Alex Meredith, and David Meeker. She will be fondly remembered by close friends and in-laws, Iris and Ray Hughes, the rest of her extended family and friends.

The family would like to thank the staff at Selectacare; particularly Dawn, Lani, Marevic, and Marilou for their loving care of Julia over the past few years. Thanks also go to the staff at Belmont House for their years of care and also to the staff at Toronto General Hospital, Dr. Richard Yanefsky & Nurses who helped provide a caring environment for Julia and her family.

A celebration of Julia's life will be held at Humphrey's Funeral Home A.W. Miles Chapel on Monday February 8 at 7:00 p.m. Visitation at PM prior. Memorial donations can be made to Belmont House Foundation or Alzheimer's Society.

Caroline married William Henry Meeker IV, son of Unknown and Myrtle May Shipman, on 8 Mar 1947. (William Henry Meeker IV was born in 1922 in Brooklyn, New York, U.S.A. and died in 1984.)
