Peter was a Grocer by trade but he was also an alderman. He held a seat on the Toronto City Council for several terms in the late 1800's/early 1900's.

Peter married Sarah Blong {1400} [MRIN: 474], daughter of Henry Blong {1691} and Aldred Easton {1712}, on August 16, 1869 in Toronto, Ontario. (Sarah Blong {1400} was born on April 17, 1846 in Toronto, Ontario, died on January 22, 1909 in 176 Roxborough Street, Toronto, Ontario and was buried on January 24, 1909 in Mount Pleasant Cemetery, Toronto, Ontario.) The cause of her death was Heart Disease.
