There is a large inconsistency re. Sarah's birthplace. On her death certificate it says that Sarah was born in Ireland - although it gives her immigration date as 1843; six years prior to her birth. On Sarah's wedding certificate it notes her birthplace as Canada. It is assumed that she was born in Ireland and that the actual year of the Blong family immigration is 1853.

Sarah married Peter Archibald Macdonald Senior, son of Archibald Macdonald and Elizabeth Macdonald, on 16 Aug 1869 in Toronto, Ontario. (Peter Archibald Macdonald Senior was born on 19 Apr 1837 in Argyll, Scotland, died on 15 Jun 1920 in 176 Roxborough Street, Toronto, Ontario and was buried on 17 Jun 1920 in Mount Pleasant Cemetery, Toronto, Ontario.) The cause of his death was Bronchitis.
