According the British Census of 1851, Richard was a "Carrier" and was born in Cranfield. The 1871 census lists Richard as a "Poulterer" born in Wootton, Bedfordshire.
The 1851 census also listed an "Ellen Chibnall" who was 8 years old at the time. Apparently she was staying with the family while attending school. Anyone recognize this name at all??
