BARRICK, Peter Frederick

Suddenly, as the result of a skiing accident at Mt St. Louis-Moonstone on Sunday March 27, 2011 at the age of 64. Beloved husband of Faye (nee Macartney) for over 41 years. Loving father of Gillian and her husband Jeffrey Emch of Tucson, Arizona, Rebecca Barrick and her wife Darcie Hook of Port Moody, B.C., and Jonathan Peter Barrick and his wife Jennifer of Barrie. Proud Grandpa of Claire, Sarah, Madelaine, and Jonah. Dear son of Margaret and the late Gordon Barrick, and brother of Stephen Barrick and his wife Sharon of London, and David Barrick of Kitchener. Uncle Pete will be fondly remembered by his many nieces and nephews. Peter graduated from Ryerson in 1969, and began his career with Canadian Pittsburg Industries (PPG). While rising through the ranks of PPG, he continued to pursue his education, and completed his Bachelor of Commerce Degree from Ryerson in 1996. After 32 years with PPG, he retired as the Manager of Field Sourcing and Logistics in Oshawa. Peter spent his retirement years pursuing his passions: golfing, skiing, photography, traveling and boating. For the past 8 years Peter was a Race Coach and Ski Instructor with Mount St. Louis-Moonstone.

Peter married Faye Glenda McCartney on 1 Aug 1970.
