In the 1901 Census Caroline is listed as a "servant" in the Geard family household in Middlesex, London, England. On the same census a "Mary Jones - servant" is also listed in the same household. It is assumed that Edward Jones was the brother of Mary...but he was not employed by the Geard family. Caroline must have met Edward through her fellow worker, Mary Jones.
