William Nelson Granger {1834}

   Cause of his death was Alcoholism Causing Gangrene of Both Feet.

William co-owned and operated a hardware store in downtown Whitby called "Gross & Granger" - in 1901 the building burnt to the ground causing great damage. In January, 2009 it was proposed by the Town of Whitby to erect a historic plaque on the site (at Brock & Dundas Streets) commemorating the disaster.

In 1911 William lived at 125 Colborne Street, Whitby, Ontario.
