Thomas was a bricklayer by trade - as stated on his Daughter Annie's birth certificate.

It is assumed that Annie met and married David Wagstaff through Thomas - David Wagstaff ran a brick manufacturing company and Annie was a bricklayer's daughter.

Thomas emigrated to Canada in 1869/70 according to his death record.

Thomas married Emily Salisbury, daughter of Thomas George Salisbury and Ann Wickham. (Emily Salisbury was born on 8 May 1852 in England, died on 5 Aug 1932 in 658 Broadview Avenue, Toronto, Ontario and was buried in Saint James Cemetery, Toronto, Ontario.) The cause of her death was Coronary Thrombosis.
