bullet  Research Notes:

The following taken from "The Swish Family Richardson" booklet - written by R.B. Richardson in 1998.

"Thomas was the third of the serving Richardson's. Although born in 1895 he advanced his age and joined up in Bedford at age 16. He served with the Essex Regiment, initially in the mounted infantry. Thomas went to France but was wounded and gassed in 1916 at Ypres. He continued to serve but was invalided out in January, 1918. He married at Ramsey in 1919 but his wife died in 1921 after just 18 months of marriage. He married his second wife, Daisy Frances Dale in 1925 at Dovercourt and died in Ipswitch at the age of 79. He only occasionally returned to Cranfield to walk the fields with his brother Frank.
