Medical Notes:
On August 29, 1914, while working for his brother George S. Richardson, he had taken a dead horse to Elstow and on returning to Cranfield (via Wootton) he fell from the horse and cart at about 8:30 p.m.
He was found shortly afterwards and brought home to Cranfield (he was still living at home with his parents) by his cousin Arthur. William was being tended to by his Father through the night, but sadly he died the following morning.
He was buried at the East End Baptist Church on August 31, 1914 by Coroner's order.
